Klaxons - 'Echoes'

I'm back in love again.

Klaxons have been gone for almost FOUR years but I'm teetering on the edge of forgiveness.
The deal will be sealed as soon as Surfing the Void proves to be as ground breakingly mesmerising and addictive as 2006's Myths of the Near Future.

I was bloody annoyed at Glastonbury '08 when these nu-rave banshees turned out to be the Special Guests even though they hadn't released an album for years. I loved Myths but after two disappointing live performances (Reading '07, Glasto '08), I grew tired and bored of Klaxons, and I don't think I was alone.

The boys have a lot to live up to considering how long their fans have waited for this new album (due out 23/8). This latest single however is a promising start, with it's swirling romantic chorus giving that space-age punch that got me really excited and made me buzz around my halls in my first year of University (amazing timing for that album to come out!).

I reckon 'Echoes' is going to become a firm favourite on the radio within the next few weeks and with the release of the album as well, Surfing the Void is going to swarm the music press and the television and every other pop culture orifice just like before.

Klaxons are back and I reckon it's going to be monumental.
